Carpentras

I love public displays of affection.  Carpentras’ massive Arab community are incredibly up to six kisses cheek to cheek per greeting!  This makes me so ridiculously happy…

This comic book shop is on Rue Raspail, near to great restaurant the Petite Fontaine and my favourite patisserie (so far) – Jouvaud.  They always have great window dressing plus boozy pain au raisins and chocolates to die for.

Carpentras is also the only place I’ve ever since a dedicated horse butcher!  I have yet to come across a horse recipe but am keen to find one.  A friend told me you can just fry it like a steak, but there must be something more interesting to do with it…especially as it’s so expensive.

The beautiful covered arcade reminds me of Victor Emmanuel Gallery in Milan… which is only five hours away, as are Barcelona, Cinqueterre and Turin.
