Dan finished work on the new entrance for Bourrade yesterday, so now its over to me for the fun bit – the planting. I am totally over excited and was plant shopping by 8.30am.Having laid it all out, I now have to wait for it to rain. Below are my scruffy plans to remind me what went where – We have chosen a mixture of Provencal Lavender in deep purple, Romarin (Rosemary with a tiny blue flower) and a few Box. The idea is that the plants are local and therefore able to survive on limited water and fussing. In the summer, when everything is in full bloom it will hopefully look fairly typical of Provence. The big sculptured clouds should provide a lovely first impression for those visiting Bourrade. Dans wall – not the best photo but I’m sure they’ll be a few more.
