London

I’m back home after a little London jaunt and feeling outrageously festive thanks to the huge Christmas baubles in Covent Garden!Another bauble (of sorts) that I loved was the light in the V&A coffee shop.  The V&A is my all time favourite place and as the weather was so foul I spent most of Friday there.  Once upon a time I studied Costume for the Performing Arts at London College of Fashion …below are two of my drawings from the fantastic Hollywood Costume exhibition.  I also went to see the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery and the Tim Walker exhibition at Somerset House – I did venture outside – to Notting Hill on Saturday.  I used to live a short wiggle away from the shabbier end of Portabello Road and it was lovely to wander down through the market despite the rain and maze of umbrellas.  Below are a few of my favourite things – The best bit about going back to the UK was of course seeing all my friends.  I can’t explain how much I love this print by Ashley Lil that my friend Becca had hanging on her wall.
