Michael Landy – Saints Alive

Todays Lunchtime Inspiration comes curteousy of Michael Landy’s Saints Alive exhibition at the National Gallery.  The huge, clanking, whirling, bizarre Saints were, according to ML himself (the excellent short film at the side of the exhibition) remenisant of Jean Tinguleys kinetic sculptures.  I thought they were truley great – awe inspiring, different, fun and totally unifying (for the viewer) in thier madness – but as a collage fiend it was his prep drawings and collages that was pineing for.ML Collage

As with the entire National Gallery there were no photos allowed but I’m going back this evening to draw draw draw!  Until then, my unintentional artwork of the day  – Worm
