Guided Tour

This week has been manic.  I’ve seen Outsider Art from Japan at the Wellcome Collection (awesome, by far the best thing so far), met up with old friends, made a new transatlantic friend, been life drawing at the National Portrait Gallery and visited enough art galleries in my lunch breaks to write a post a day.  So it’s quite nice to be having a Sunday roast cooked for me after some window shopping!  Walking down Stoke Newington Road this morning I found the ultimate party jacket –
Sequinned jacketAt £125 it’s ever so slightly beyond what I can justify spending!  I also wanted the little flower painting below and about half of the 1960’s shift dresses.
PaintingI love the fact this old cinema sign, which looks like it’s just stuck on the front of a house, changes ever time I walk past.
Puss pussLast night I met up with a friend of a friend from New York, we walked through Spittelfields, past St Paul’s over the bendy bridge and around Tate Modern before heading to the BFI.  By the time we left the Turbine Hall at 8pm it was full of paper boats of all different shapes and sizes.  Below are a couple of my favourites …Tate ModernChinese Blue P1040874The Southbank Centre’s lights were wonderful too.Bright lights big city
