I think my feet are about to fall off! It’s day two of my first ever trip to Barcelona and marching here, there and everywhere in flip flops has done my feet no favours. Or my brain for that’s matter, so apologises for any mistakes in the below edited highlights (part one) of my time so far.
Even in the less than glorious weather Gaudi’s cathedral Sagrada Familia is still an impressive sight. By the time I’d done my obligatory tourist queuing, the sun made an appearance just long enough for me to spot the construction workers who, according to the woman behind me, will be scaling the towers heights until 2026.
Despite the fact Sagrada Familia is the only cathedral I’ve been in with a lift, wifi and a vending machine, it’s also the only cathedral I’ve been to that so successfully fulfills it’s brief… Look up! There now follows my slight obsession with the incredible stained glass windows –
