Frieze 2017

The Frieze art fair came to London last week along with a variety of other fairs, openings and shows including 1:54, Sunday and PAD in tow. Any attempt to put my photos and thoughts into some kind of order would probably take 6 months, so below is a random mix of things that caught my eye over the week.


Burberry at Old Sessions House

Today I visited the phenomenally beautiful Old Sessions House, the old Clerkenwell court house that was taken over by Burberry for their 2017 London Fashion Week show and is now home to Here We Are, a documentary photography exhibition curated by Christopher Bailey and Lucy Kumara Moore, with co-curation by Alasdair McLellan.

After the September runway event Burberry opened up its London show venue, The Makers House, for a free-of-charge week long showcase of British craftsmanship.


Expo Cycles Bédoin Ventoux

On Sunday we went to visit Expo Cycles Bédoin Ventoux – the shonky (in the best sense of the word) private bicycle and cycling memorabilia collection of Lino Lazzerini, a man whose boyhood dream of being a professional cyclist transformed into a 50 year passion for all things velo, making him a well known and much liked figure in the area.
